Pet owners are responsible for ensuring the device is charged and properly maintained. Additionally, pet owners must promptly inform the city of any changes to their contact information, such as phone numbers or addresses, to ensure accurate communication in case of emergencies or incidents. Failure to maintain the device or provide updated information may impact the effectiveness of the system and the ability to reunite lost pets with their owners.
